The word of the day from Eleanor Roosevelt
“My experience has been that work is almost the best way to
pull oneself out of the depths.”
I keep talking to folks, customers, colleagues and
even my wife... who are all "in the depths" of what is going to
happen with the new administration? They are concerned with the future of Medicare, Women’s Rights and Job
Security… Eleanor just spoke to me today…
Regardless of what's on the news or what the gossip is... Do what needs to be done. Do what you can do to make the world better. Complaining and worry doesn't make anyone feel better, it only makes those around you feel worse. Eleanor Roosevelt is a great example.
As a woman and the wife of the President, she made a difference in peoples live, stepping away from the status quo of what other First Ladies had done. She did what she could and didn't make excuses or complain. Although she says, "... that work is almost the best way..." I wonder what the best way might be?
